Students in Fellowship of Christian Athletes met on January 11 and heard from Blayke Cutts, Kaskaskia College and Eastern Illinois University baseball alum. Blayke spoke to the students about the importance of finding their true identity. He explained that sports are great, but they need to step back and find their true identity on a deeper level - their identity in Christ. He said that faith won’t make life easier, but it will make it easier to ride the highs and lows of life. He encouraged the students to work hard in all areas of their lives and to keep their focus on their identity in Christ.
Students enjoyed breakfast that was provided by an anonymous donor.
The next meeting will be Thursday, January 25.
