Students in Fellowship of Christian Athletes met on February 22 and heard from Seth Repp, former CHS student-athlete and Greenup Baptist Church Youth Pastor. Seth explained to the athletes that if they put in the bare minimum, they will get the bare minimum. All athletes must work hard and put in extra work to improve and reach their personal goals - natural ability will only take them so far. Just as with athletics, Christians must put in the extra work to continue to grow in their faith. No one is given the natural ability to follow the path of Jesus and be saved. Everyone must do the extra work - go to church, pray, read their Bible, study, etc. We are called to do more than just the bare minimum!
Students enjoyed breakfast that was provided by the Mt. Zion (Block) Church.
The next meeting will be Thursday, March 14th.
