Senior Night for winter sports will be announced tonight between the JV and Varsity games. Come out and support all of the students participating in Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Cheer, Wrestling, Band, Trap, and Scholastic Bowl!
Those interested in joining the high school and middle school trap teams should plan to attend an informational meeting on Saturday, January 13, at 1:00 PM at Cumberland Sportsman Club.

We would like to invite all past/present players, coaches, and fans to attend this event that will take place between the JV and Varsity games that evening.

Students in FACS classes donated money to purchase Christmas gifts for children who live in foster homes. Mrs. Thomas purchased ingredients for S'mores & students could pay to make one after they finished their final exam. All the money that was collected was used for the toys.

Last week, Mrs. Walk took a group of high school students to Barnes and Noble to select books for the high school library. It looks like they had a successful trip based on their receipt!

Mrs. Gibsom's Ecology class took a field trip to the Toledo Water Treatment facility to learn more about water in their area, water sources, and the treatment process from Toledo municipal employee Jake Peters.

Jason Duhamell, a cardiac nurse for Carle, visited the high school Anatomy class to discuss blood pressure. He gave the students hands-on training to measure their own blood pressure!
Last night, the high school chess club traveled to Mattoon High School to compete against their IHSA Chess Team. Each player played two matches. Mitchell Blade and Alice Santi both won one of their matches!
Reminder: Any parent or guardian who wants to put a senior ad in the high school yearbook needs to send all materials and payment to Wendy Peters by December 22.
The EIU Jazz Lab Band stopped by this afternoon to play a collection of songs for the middle school and high school band students. The students enjoyed listening to the show and learning about the band.
