The CHS JV Scholastic Bowl team placed first yesterday at the Turnabout Tournament in Fairfield! Lauren Stevens and Mitchell Blade were named to the All-Tournament team. Lauren was the top performer of the tournament with 25 total tossups! Way to go!

The Cumberland High School girls wrestlers traveled to Mt. Zion to compete at the IHSA regionals on Saturday, February 1. Congratulations to Natalie Beaumont and Summer Nichols on placing first in their division! They will compete at the IHSA sectionals on February 14 and 15 in Highland.

Congratulations to three Cumberland High School music students who were selected to participate in the 2025 Illinois Music Education Association All-State Music Festival in Peoria! Austin Becker was selected for All-State Chorus, Addison Johnson was selected for All-State Band, and Ani Edwards was selected for Honors Chorus. These students spent many hours in rehearsal and performed concerts with other high-achieving music students from all across the state.

Last night, Cumberland High School had its first off-campus presentation where CEO, LIFT, CORE, and Health Occupations representatives came and spoke about their program.
